Ridgewood NJ, just after midnight this morning, a vehicle traveling west on Ridgewood Avenue, mounted the curb at Kenilworth Road, took out the signpost on the East corner, and traveled across Kenilworth and through the yard of 796 E Ridgewood Avenue, causing serious damage to the property.

I live a few houses away . . . average speed for a car coming from Paramus Road/E Ridgewood Ave intersection is probably in excess of 40 mph during the day and in excess of 50 mph late at night. It’s like a damn freeway down Ridgewood Ave from Paramus Road into town
RPD used to sit across from the Duck Pond (right in front of the old ice cream place) in the wee hours of the morning and nail speeders but I haven’t seen them do this in at least a decade.
