He’s a criminal.
Maybe “Build a wall Paul” can run for president.
You missed the point.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Unfortunately he is still the Mayor. Won’t be until his term is finished that we won’t have to listen to him drone on and orchestrate the greatest live puppet show of all until then, sit back and enjoy Vagianos’ magic mystery tour spending your tax dollars.
Too bad the majority of the town disagrees with you!
Give me 2 years, and lets see if I can change the perception of that majority! I will circle back on this thread in 2 years 🙂
yeah we all know he made big promises.
So, the man who publicly proclaimed a hatred for social media, and also publicly stated that he never looks at social media makes the announcement that his restaurant is closing on social media? WTF? You couldn’t make this kind of shit up if you tried your damnedest!
i am sure he will rent the space to another barbershop
Performing Arts Center!
Too soon?
I find it interesting that this was announced just after the election. I guess the timing of the announcement was strategic.
He could have made the announcement before the election.
Good! The food was awful and the place was a constant eyesore.
Something else came along yielding better returns, shady politics and soon to be high density housing.
After 30 years, Ridgewood gets their sidewalk back.
Goodbye and good luck to “Build a wall Paul.”
He has full control of the village hall with all four council people who were paid by him for their campaigns and the village manager who owes him this job (he was his campaign manager).
Now is the time to fullfill all the dreams and desires for which he has been funding other candidates for years.
Time to do what other puppets could not accomplish.
they have this dish there, its grilled chicken, orzo, feta, and spinach, its phenomenal for lunch.
🤦🏼 I’d put the food in the same category as McDonalds dollar meals at best.
low quality food
disgusting dish. you’ll be on the can for a solid 24 hours.
I had the Special Chicken yesterday. It was great.
Paul has (so far) 340 Likes and 214 positive comments on Facebook from his friends/customers.All of them using their names.
You had an option to use your name on this comment! Blog doesn’t force you to stay anonymous.
You missed the point.
Bunch of sore losers on this blog. He just won a democratic election by a landslide. Get over it.
Paul Vagianos made the announcement. How does that make residents sore losers 😂🤪
bought
Finally, a place for a Chic-fil-A downtown.
The people have spoken and they want a gay bar.
Migrant housing please. We must do our part.
And vagianos will be first in line
I give it six months tops before a permit is approved to expand his three connecting properties; the old Bibilia, It’s Greek to me and Bareburger.
When a politician uses their position of power or influence to expand their personal business interests, it is often referred to as “corruption” or “conflict of interest.” More specifically, it can be described as “abuse of power” or “self-dealing.”
• Abuse of power refers to the misuse of a politician’s authority to benefit themselves or others in a way that is not in the public’s interest.
• Conflict of interest arises when a politician’s personal interests interfere with their professional responsibilities, leading to potential bias or unethical decision-making.
• Self-dealing involves a politician engaging in business transactions where they personally benefit from their position, often at the expense of their duties to the public.
In many cases, these actions are illegal or unethical and can lead to legal consequences, including investigations, fines, or removal from office. Unless this is happening in Ridgewood, NJ, then it’s a free for all. Just ask the Village Engineer and the Quarters Guy.
What you’re glossing over is the “that is not in the public’s interest” clause. Tell us how operating successful businesses in the village’s central business district is not in the public’s interest? If you liked the guy, it wouldn’t be an issue. But, hey, if you think the mayor or any member of the council should divest themselves of any profit generating assets in the village prior to appointment, fine, go start a petition or something. You know, make John Adams proud. Until then, the CBD at present could be doing a lot better, but your personal spite is obviously more important.
So you can use Google. You should have credited the actual author.
Mayor Vagianos is still allowed to run his real estate business.
We used to like the gyros but they went down hill about 10 years ago. A Taste of Greece on Kinderkermack in River Edge is MUCH better (mostly take out, though).
Well, he’s leaving the dance the girl he came with, but let’s just say he certainly got around with his intermission acts.
Post of the day !
It doesn’t matter if you love him or hate him. The bottom line is he One, and he’s the mayor, so enjoy quarter to 17 and eat McDonald’s
Can someone translate this?
it doesnt matter if you love or hate him, he is the chosen one like lebron james at a diddy party. hes the mayor so round up peasants and set up quarter at mcdonalds on 17 north
Oh okay, now its clear.
Hes a sellout. Were coming after the flag in June. stop indoctrinating and influencing innocent kids
I’d pay to see you shimmy up the poll and remove it yourself.
It would have cost you guys nothing just to wish him well and move on. But you would all rather take the no class route.
We have money. We don’t need class.
who cares about a sellout like this guy. he took my heat away in my house. he and hes little minions over in ridgewood are losers just like 2/3 of the people in town. bunch of highly vaxxed brainwashed liberals who believe everything the fake news says. Funny how such an educated voting block voted parallel to Paterson. I think 2/3 of you owe them some reperations.
The only reason why Kwak lost was because many, many people thought that they had to vote for 3 candidates. So they selected Kwak and 2 others which basically nullified their vote for Kwak. She should have done a better job educating her potential voters. It’s simple math. But being practical is greek to the “highly educated”.
Give the voters some credit – they had three votes and the majority that voted chose to use them all. Just because that didn’t give the result you wanted doesn’t make them dumb, it just means your opinion is in the minority. The real question is how much did the constant FB posts from the town’s vocal minority (which were basically “vote Kwak because we dislike Vagianos” – not a great theme) and what her husband did turn people off her.
What did her husband do? They are a simple, nice down to earth couple and complete opposite of the uber hypocrite elites of this town.
guy looks like hes never worked a hard days labor before. drinking too much of them pfas from the polluted water. howd he make the money. who is this guy
At the end of the day, Vagianos is only well liked by the people who are invested in an outcome. this is pay 2 play in the most literal sense. people paid with their votes for fields and other special projects. He made promises and now he intends to fulfill them. It doesn’t make him a good mayor. He is actually quite ineffectual.
The quality of these posts continue to be outstanding.
Stop complaining already. He won the election and that’s telling something. He’s popular, more people voted for him than not
