Ridgewood NJ, The Ridgewood Blog has learned the Ridgewood new code enforcement officer has been making the rounds in the CBD  counting chairs and tables to check if restaurants are in compliance with their the outdoor cafe permits . She has issued several written warning for those that are in violation. We wonder if she is also check for encroachments in to the pedestrian  right of way?  Is she checking for planters and flower pots that made impeded people from walking or parking their car ( and lets nor forget people with disabilities) ? Does she do her checking during her 9-5 work day or does she come out at night and on the weekend when restaurants  load up the sidewalk and tables?

  1. Who wrote that?

  2. Mr Vagianos, tear down that wall

  3. Selective enforcement .

  4. I love it….yasou !

  5. Vaggianos needs to take those giant obstacles DOWN

  6. How are those walls not a fire hazard?! Surprised the fire department doesn’t have an issue with them !

  7. That wall is a disaster.

  8. How about we make the removal of the Greek to Me planters a town wide event. We could block off Ridgewood Avenue, have street vendors, some music and finally the towns largest loader knock it over as throngs of residents cheer it’s removal.

  9. Follow the code…good for one, good for all. No politics now that the Democrat-aligned cabal is off the VC and Paul V lost the election.

  10. 10:07 That might be the only way they will come down! With few parking spaces available when the restaurants are full, not being able to get out of the passenger side of the car in front of Greek to Me is really annoying.

  11. Paul V’s wall is legal. Courtesy of his college friend Gail Price who helped amend the code. Always good to have an a old friend who is an attorney specializing in Municipal Land Law.

  12. 10:07am excellent idea.

  13. I would never eat at a restaurant if my passenger door hit ta planter
