Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire Department personnel responded to mitigate a reported hazardous condition at 39 East Ridgewood Avenue on Thursday morning, 04/04. Aluminum flashing from the roof of a commercial structure had torn loose during overnight winds. One (1) piece of the flashing had fallen to the sidewalk below, and another was still suspended overhanging the sidewalk. Ridgewood firefighters used a ground ladder to access the roof and secure the suspended piece of flashing. The fallen piece was removed from the scene by a member of the Village’s Sanitation Division. No injuries were reported. Ridgewood Police officers provided pedestrian and traffic control while firefighters worked.
