Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood Christmas tree is here! This year a 71-year-old Norway spruce will soon be on full display at the train station thanks to Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 Commander Lou Francis and his wife, Yvonne.
As always, the Ridgewood Police Department enjoyed escorting the annual Christmas tree into town.
Come out for Ridgewood’s Downtown For The Holidays on December 6th where it will be lit for the holiday season.

Who paid for this? Use of police vehicles, etc.?
Where’s KK…?
What do you think the taxpayers?
Yeah, and probably on overtime, ridiculous
so. for America’s birthday celebrations, the July 4th committee has to pay for the police but for a Christmas tree, which is being planted to bring shoppers to Vagiano’s properties – the tax payers have to pay for police overtime?
Yeah, what are you going to do about it, tax payer? Also, it’s a holiday tree. You’re free to celebrate whatever you want in the privacy of your own home. The public square is a different matter entirely.
Congratulations to Lou Francis and his Family for their tree
donation.
why do we need all this artificial light and plastic from China. Waste of money. could use all that money to help homeless people or feed hungry people.
It’s a Christmas tree! Not a holiday tree. If you’re offended, too bad. And by the way, it’s Merry Christmas not happy holidays
PJ – any chance you could share this GOFUNDME to support a Ridgewood kids in need of a helping hand …

Wait. Wait. Wait. 07450 begging for money? Shameless, but not surprising.
Yea I figured you people are cheap. how bout this, grow a tree somewhere in town let it grow take care of it and then you can light a living tree for the next several decades. Why are we chopping down giant trees and bringing them into town to decorate. Seems silly to me but hey Im just a dirt farmer.
Where’s the profit in that?
