Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police Department reminds residents that it’s that time of the year where you may come across a fawn that’s curled up that appears to be abandoned.
We would like to remind everyone that this is normal behavior for deer and that the mother will return for her baby.
Please do not approach the babies or try to get them to move from where mom left them.

I found one in the bleachers at Paramus Catholic. I called and they said the same thing…momma will come back.
Why are we calling the police department? They are not animal control. Are they doing that job too now?
