Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police Department asks residents if they know what cars have mirrors that fold in when the vehicle is locked?
The thieves do.Don’t make it easy for them to find their next victim. Lock your cars.Vehicle thefts continue throughout the state day and night. Give us a call if you see any suspicious activity.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella recently said that  in just the month of January there was an 83% increase in car thefts from the previous January. In that one month alone there were 132 thefts and this number continues to increase with every passing day. Towns with the greatest number of thefts in Bergen are Paramus with 16, Fort Lee with 9, Ridgewood, Rutherford and Garfield with 6 each, Bergenfield, Englewood, Teaneck and Hackensack with 5 each, Franklin Lakes, Lodi, Englewood Cliffs, Upper Saddle River and Tenafly with 4 each, and River Vale, Saddle Brook, East Rutherford, Elmwood Park, Washington Township, North Arlington, Oradell, Cliffside Park, Hasbrouck Heights and Moonachie with 3 each.”

  1. Of course there is an increase in car thefts.
As soon as the word got out that police in Bergen county were not allowed to pursue stolen cars, the criminals came here for ‘easy pickings’.
Woke policies have consequences and this is clearly obvious.

    1. I doubt the 3 thumbs down were from the perps in Newark.
More likely the liberals that move here from the city and ruined what was once a nice town

  2. looks like 4 more libtard douchbads from manhattan

    1. repeat : at this point it looking a lot like insurance fraud

  3. Crimes of opportunity. Here’s an idea…. Lock your car and take your key fob with you.

  4. Not sure what the fascination is with mirrors. LOCK YOUR F’ING CAR. Leaving your keys in the car just demonstrates one’s stupidity.
