Playground sounds ok for the kids but it appears that Healthbarn has taken over that park and controls a lot of the property from what it seems, so I don’t agree with the very epensive pavilion or other gifts that are designed to enhance a private businesses success when the village should be benefitting from a percentage of their private activities for a fee bottom line.
BINGO
How much is Healthbarn contributing?
Nothing but added garbage and litter. The park is a mess after the birthday parties that cost a fortune and every penny goes in the owners pocket BUT the tax payers pay for the garbage and litter left behind. For example boxes and trash in public garbage pails. Balloons stuck in the trees. Etc
Nothing
Why is this playground being installed in a park at the edge of the village ? THAT is not very accessible in my mind. It should be at Vets or at a school closer to the middle of town.
“Accessible” means for children with different physical abilities.
It does not mean that it will be walkable for all residents. Lots of parents and caregivers drive to different playgrounds for recreation. I like the Glen Rock Playground and the Ridgewood and Glen Rock Duck Ponds. I drive to all 3.
Of course it should but healthbarn is not there. Where did the 4 million dollars go that the mayor and Ramon Hache ran through that business.
I mean, how inclusive is this? My kids are immuno-compromised and have sensory processing issues and need to be in complete darkness without physical contact for most of the day. But I know it’s good for them to get out of the house, so is there going to be an anti-microbial isolation tank for them? It would be nice if it was big enough to do laps in obviously and not just float.
Maybe it should be renamed to Haveanickel park.
It definitely should be renamed. It never should have been named for someone who sold it to the town for millions. If it was donated yes but not sold!!!
That park is being run into the ground since healthbarn came. You can build pavilions for her build playgrounds for her but it’s a disaster and the park looks like shit. Garbage and litter . A fenced in graveyard, tools and shovels left around, balloons in trees odd unstructured random plantings, A total mess thanks to the business. But she leaves and goes home and the tax payers get to see what’s left behind in the trees, park, public garbage cans and the dead fenced in broken area. Just gross.
