Ridgewood NJ, the Village council has voted to extend the use of dining corrals until Dec. 31, 2021. Business owners have to pay $250 per parking space they are taking up per month.
The Village has taken a major hit to parking revenue since the COVID pandemic and renting out parking spots for dining corrals provides the village with much needed parking revenue.
Downtown Ridgewood looks like Beirut.
hope it doesn’t snow
Beirut has a better climate
Once again, the “village” simply looking at making money in the short term and ignoring quality of life, resident and visitor convenience, and the overall appeal of the town. I thought the garage (teen play area) would provide all the extra revenue to cover its cost as well as the insane cost of the ugly parking kiosks, necessary technology and signs at each spot. .
Absolutely no way. Looks dreadful. Get that restaurant owner off the dais.
great news!
Think about the actions of our past and present ‘leaders’.
These jersey barriers need to go..
Garage that would ‘pay for itself’
Village hall a/k/a Taj Mahal
Ordinance allowing developers to ask for/create their own zoning to increase density
Water company inadequate facilities
Building a fire house in a flood prone area
It never ends.
We used to be the envy of the county….
