At the last Council meeting pertaining to the parking garage residents rightfully demanded that it be re-designed to eliminate the protrusion onto Hudson Street. We now see the cost for revising the design. My guess is there will be complaints about the revised design and the Village will continue to spend taxpayer money again and again and will never be able to satisfy most of those who are opposed to the fundamental concept of a garage.
2:08pm. its not because of those who are opposed to the garage. It’s because of the Mayor and Village Manager who are rushing the RFP / design process without waiting for the agreement on the size and scope at the village level first. Why did they promise everyone before the November vote that the design can be negotiated if they had already paid money to the architects for a specific design that they wanted?
Wow! so more has to be spent for a revision. Desman won’t do it for the original $500,000.
I didn’t want the $500, 000 to be spent in the first place. I knew for that moolah it would be gigantico.
For design of two level parking decks around town would have been much less.
I voiced and wrote my opposition at the beginning. No one stood behind me.
Real Estate agents will be quite busy….Town of Ridgewood…and our.way of life is under siege
Thanks James for letting us know! It is true. They will vote on the project tonight. Now I am hearing they might not alow for public comments att the end of the mr rating. it is very unusual to present anything and vote on it the same night. I have heard that it is not illegal for them to do so but in light of public outcry on this issue, it does nothing to address overwhelming public concern. The process is once again is failing the tax paying citizens. N

This ,if true as per 3:38 honest comments., will be a new low for the towns management in their lack of any respect for both the public process and the taxpayers liability and injury by taking this to the county and inviting them into our towns business process..Just to get this done,,..Truth either way ,comes into the light tonight.Remember this Day…..

good point 7:18, John V should take notice that the change orders have already begin to blow out the costs before a shovel touches the ground…. the Village couldn’t build a sand castle without cost overruns and delays, thanks to this Council for screwing taxpayers… yet again.
