THE RIDGEWOOD NEWS
RIDGEWOOD – While Ridgewood teachers continued their quest for a new contract at Monday’s Board of Education (BOE) meeting, Superintendent Daniel Fishbein switched gears to kindergarten, recommending a full-day program starting in 2017.

And like the garage will it pay for itself?
Without the district spending a dime all the parents with kindergartners have an option.
Ridgewoods new Webster…I want it now ,I want everyone else to Pay for my afternoon Babysitter so I can make my Yoga class …out of control fist shifting..LETS KNOCK THIS ONE Out of the Box..hey taxpayers wake the hell up…spending other people’s Money…
Madeleine Beresford wrote an excellent “Letter to the Editor” in todays Ridgewood News about why full day kindergarten is not a good idea. If you haven’t read it, you should. Let kids be kids for goodness sake.
Full day kindergarten in Ridgewood will not make difference in the academic future of the kids.
The argument is “everyone else has it. “. Not compelling.
Urban areas have pre-k because kids are not read to at home, no one does homework with kids, many kids need the two meals provided, many kids get health care screening and some just need a safe place to go.
This is Ridgewood. There are several excellent choices for kindergsrten enrichment for those who think that their child will be left behind and the dream of Harvard will disappear.
this says it will be “second” question on the ballot-any idea what the “first” question is?
Nice plant….
