Notably, the project was celebrated for its commitment to environmental preservation, maintaining the delicate balance of nature without sacrificing progress.
The Award Ceremony:
On May 9th, 2024, Mayor Al Kurpis and the Borough of Saddle River were honored at the ASCE Award Ceremony held at Monroe Park, New Jersey. Amidst a backdrop of excitement and anticipation, our community received a standing ovation for the remarkable achievement of our covered bridge, recognized as the most innovative Engineering Project of the Year for any municipality in New Jersey!
