Ridgewood NJ, construction on the Schedler Park property on West Saddle River Road continues .
Some neighbors have voiced concerns over what is being buried on the property and the damage to the historical significance of the land that may be caused by moving around so much dirt.

Other neighbors have pointed out the lack of a silt fence around the property protecting neighbors from runoff .

And the village engineer says what?
“historical significance of the land” LOL
Money Pit.
They have to hurry up and get this project done so the Mayor can get his name on another plaque.
What a joke.
Hurry up and build the burm and the field that no one will use. By that time the tree will fall on the house. Disgraceful
Waste of time and money
It’s really too bad that our Village Council is a dictatorship and refuses to listen to any of the residents that the council is supposed to be working for. I am quite sure that if they had listened to the majority of the residents they would not be going forward with this multi-million dollar disaster. And yes, the only choice other commenters have made is to turn this area into a development. I would actually prefer that as the Schedler parking lot is going to be right off of Rt. 17N and is going to be the source of many accidents. Housing would have their own exit on 17 and we would avoid all the danger, and waste, that is going into the construction of the Schedler property.
Have you seen the trees butchered by PSEG with no oversight by our village manager? Do you ride the bombed out streets? Do you see downtown turned into a mess? How about the ugly structures being built? Schedler? Train station trees cut for cute little cars? Garage? …………
This may sound like a conspiracy theory but it feels like somebody is succeeding in ruining this place for their benefit or just out of spite. Good job.
DEER IS 1000 percent correct.
Patterns tell us the structural direction of the poor leadership we are suffering from.
is there any way to pull the emergency brake on this
runaway Train management..they are all looking for their next political position at our expense
