Great Barrington MA, Jay Bhattacharya is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, where he received both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in economics. A co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, along with Dr. Sunetra Gupta of Oxford University and Dr. Martin Kulldorff of Harvard University—in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The three of us come from very different disciplinary backgrounds and from very different parts of the political spectrum. Fair Lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn Fire Companies #1 & #3, and the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad responded to a early Friday afternoon, 10/30, crash in which a box truck veered off of River Road and crashed into a utility pole and large shade tree before coming to rest on the front lawn of a single family home. The truck’s driver self extricated from the wreckage; the nature of his/her injuries is unknown. River Road was closed in both directions for an extended period to facilitate replacement of the pole, and the restoration of utility services. Elmwood Park Police assisted by providing traffic control.

In a statement the city’s police union calls the use of force by officers “appropriate and completely necessary.” in a clash at a Black Lives Matter rally last weekend . The PBA statement claims the organizers “chose to interfere with an active investigation and interject themselves into the situation,”
