Department of Justice Sues New Jersey, Governor Murphy, and Attorney General Gurbir Grewal Over Sanctuary State Status

Trenton NJ,the U.S. Department of Justice filed suit against the State of New Jersey, New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy, and New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal. The lawsuit challenges New Jersey Attorney General Law Enforcement Directive 2018-6, which prohibits state officials from sharing information with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) related to the immigration status and release dates of individuals in their custody.

The directive also requires New Jersey law enforcement to “promptly notify a detained individual, in writing and in a language the individual can understand” if ICE files an immigration detainer request for the individual. According to the complaint filed today, on multiple occasions last year, New Jersey officials failed to provide information regarding the release dates of aliens who had been charged with or convicted of crimes. New Jersey’s decision to obstruct federal immigration enforcement by refusing to provide such information is unlawful under the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

Ridgewood NJ, some bad news for Governor Phil Murphy according to 24/7 Wall street  Phil Murphy was rated as the 34th lest popular governor  and New Jersey fared even worse by being ranked as the 41st worst run state . We are somewhat astonished the both Phil Murphy and New Jersey did as well as they did.

Old Bridge NJ , Mark Razzoli, Republican candidate for the House of Representatives in New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District today called on his opponent to withdraw her support for H.R. 5383, known as the “New Way Forward Act”.

H.R. 5383 dismantles the public safety provisions of the American immigration system. Among other things, it eliminates “crimes of moral turpitude” as a legal basis for deportation of a criminal alien, and greatly reduces the category of “aggravated felony” as a legal basis for deportation.

In fact, a number of state constitutions protected voting rights for blacks. The state constitutions of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania (all 1776), New York (1777), Massachusetts (1780), and New Hampshire (1784) included black suffrage. In 1874, Robert Brown Elliot, a member of the House of Representatives from South Carolina and a black man, stated ”When did Massachusetts sully her proud record by placing on her statute-book any law which admitted to the ballot the white man and shut out the black man? She has never done it; she will not do it.”

Andrew Yang: ‘Marijuana Should Be Legal Nationwide’

Since 1970, marijuana has been categorized as a Schedule 1 controlled substance. That means it’s been placed alongside heroin and LSD as a dangerous drug. Presidential candidates now seem to embrace the full legalization of marijuana. This might seem like a stark reversal from the war that the Democratic and Republican administrations have waged on drugs for decades.

It reflects on the rapid spread of the need and use of marijuana for recreational and medical purposes at the state legal. The markets for marijuana are also proliferating with more voters supporting the ending of the prohibition of marijuana use. Almost two-thirds of all voters support the legalization of marijuana. And, this number is likely to increase in the coming years.

What’s the rationale behind closing this road? Too many auto accidents? Too many vehiclular deaths? Too many pedestrian injuries? Too expensive to maintain? Too many stuck trucks? Who benefits from the closing? Remember, It’s ALWAYS all about the money. Figure out who’s making more money or who’s spending less if the road’s been closed, and you’ll know why it happens.
