Ridgewood NJ,  Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal and the New Jersey Coordinator for Addiction Responses and Enforcement Strategies (“NJ CARES”) are asking the public to join the fight against prescription drug abuse and addiction by purging their medicine cabinets of unused medication during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

On Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Ridgewood Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 18th opportunity in nine years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the Ridgewood police station at 131 North Maple Ave. (Sites cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

East Rutherford NJ, In less than 48 hours before the much-anticipated, derided and ridiculed Xanadu sorry American Dream Mall is supposed to open but, the state has yet to issue a certificate of occupancy that would allow the long-delayed amusement and retail complex to open on Friday.

Officials expect to open two of the American Dream’s entertainment options: Nickelodeon Universe and Theme Park and The Rink at American Dream.

Ridgewood NJ, taxpayers should plan to attend these meetings, there will be snacks .Ask the architects what options they have considered at different price points to upgrade the facilities before coming up with their $70Million proposal.

There cannot be just one way to do things in the HVCA/boiler world. The architect proposing this $70Million plan was picked without a bid process and is going to get paid in commission for architecture fee, bid management fee, construction management fee, and project management fee (and since bid management is outsourced to them, they do the bidding for the contractors).

Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood has finally hit rock bottom. The Ridgewood Public library will be hosting a talk by former disgraced  NJ Governor  Jim McGreevey. McGreevy who after a Ridgewood former Mayor claimed “is not gay”  abruptly resigned in 2004 after declaring himself “a gay American” and admitting an extramarital affair with a male staffer.

McGreevey a serial con artist pursued a career in the Episcopal priesthood but was rejected. According to a source at the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, his rejection was not for “being gay but for being a jackass”.
