Fair lawn NJ, a high speed pursuit of an allegedly stolen vehicle terminated in a crash at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Plaza Road North, Fair Lawn on Wednesday afternoon, 07/22. Five (5) vehicles, including the one being pursued, were involved in the collision; all were removed from the scene by multiple flatbed tow trucks. At least two (2) crash victims were transported to local hospitals by ambulances. Paramus Police took two (2) adults, a male and a female, into custody. No police officers appeared to have been injured in the incident. Fair Lawn Fire Department extinguished an engine compartment fire in one (1) of the wrecked cars. Police officers from several local agencies converged on the scene to assist to aid the injured, and to help with crowd and traffic control.
Fair Lawn Police Department posted on Facebook, “This situation is under investigation but what we have so far is a pursuit of a stolen vehicle from Hackensack with Paramus Police ended in Fair Lawn at the intersection of Fair Lawn Ave / Plaza Rd. Please avoid the area at this time. There is no danger to the public however emergency responders are helping out victims of the crash. Excellent response by our @fairlawnems @fairlawnrescue and our Fire Dept. and surrounding ALS/BLS.”
My god what happened to Fairlawn. They should change the name to North Patterson. So many people so many problems. The town is overpopulated. They should give that town to Passaic county. Turning into a garbage can
