Ridgewood NJ, according to the Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands website a small but dedicated group of residents met with the Village Manager in the Spring of 2011 to discuss the poor condition of the Village’s parks and other green areas within the Village. It was determined that because of budget cuts, the parks were not being maintained to the level that they had been in the past.
They formulated a mission statement, put together our formal by-laws, confirmed our status with the State of New Jersey and applied for 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service. With the blessing of the Village Council, we had our Kick-Off event in October 2012.
They have completed many projects within the Village and look forward to enhancing even more of the parks in the future.
Recently the Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands finished the plantings along North Broad Street. This project was made possible by donations from our community, the dedicated Conservancy board, and with the support of the Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department .

Whistleblower Guy takes lots of pics I’ve noticed.
Hardly merits a salary of $225K however.
