It seem today a resident of Walthrey Ave who is helping on Mike and Susan campaign spotted a truck outside their home with a male taking picture of his house and campaign signs. When approached the truck left the scene. The resident recorded the license plate and made a police report. The resident then spotted the truck with that license plate park in Ms. Alexandra Harwin driveway. The plate was traced back to Harwin’s husband Rabbi Noah Fabricant .
What is going on in this town? Are resident that support Mike and Susan being record on some list for some future action against them? This kind of tactic comes right out of Paul Aronsohn playbook.
The photos were taken in an attempt to embarrass the homeowner, who is a prominent member of the Bergen County Democratic Organization, because he has lawn signs up in support of Susan, who is a registered Republican.
Guess who was recently elected to serve on the Bergen County Democratic Committe, none other than Paul Aronsohn.

I am sorry but i can’t believe the Rabbi is running around town spying on people. Any proof? I am just as upset as anyone about the Harwin supporters smearing a Church and town Charity. But I don’t think these kinds of allegationss should be repeated unless there is hard proof.

As I recall, the “election” taking Aronsohn to a bottom rung of the ladder he had hoped to climb 15 years ago was the no-contest type.

Ridgewood is a “Village in Turmoil”. Schools losing ranking in the state. Merchants fleeing due to poor sales and high rents. Downtown development threatening to absorb more parking resources from an under served area. The water utility raising rates, causing law suits and seeking to purchase a new headquarters (Elks Club) at a time when renting office space would be more economically sound. And last but not least, politics as usual (he said/she said). New blood is needed in the council. Sorry Susan and Mike, you’re out.

So harwin and rabbi move to Ridgewood barely two years ago, run for Vilage counci, lies all over her website, smear a much respected mayor,stalk another resident, smear the Catholic church, disrespect residents and is using the temple to campaign. Wow. Did anyone wake willett.up today?

why would folks stoop to this for a council seat in a small town in Bergen County? andy why would anyone consider voting for someone who just moved here and is a New Yorker with no history or idea of the towns needs? Are there not better candidates? why is there a smear campaign with flyers showing up in mailboxes full falsehoods? would a discrimination lawyer want to smear the local Catholic church? It is all gross. I wasn’t going to bother to vote – but I am now – and am encouraging all my friends to do the same, especially the OLMC folks, as it looks like the discrimination lawyer may have some ties to a campaign that disparages a Religious group. I think this is exactly what people are tired of, not only in Ridgewood, but in the country. Get lost Alexandria – no one is impressed with a carpetbagger pushing someone’s agenda, which is what you certainly appear to be.
So, its been 48 hours since the Willett / Harwin supporters spread their anti-religious, charity-bashing diatribe by hard print throughout the Village and several weeks since the hate filled letter first began to circulate on email.
In response, I have heard and seen comments from folks on both sides of the aisle who have spoken up to decry how nasty and just plain wrong the attack was by Jurgen in his attempt to elect Harwin and Willett to the Village Council.
But, and please correct me if I am wrong, I have not heard one word from either Willet or Harwin. Why not? If they cannot stand up to what a portion of the town recognizes as an attack by some of their supporters on a group’s religion, how are we ever to conclude these are folks who will stand up for all of the Village? And, weeks after the garbage first circulated, did they really need to be prompted by the rest of us to do the right thing and recognize that any attack on a religious group, no matter how inferential or how disguised, is something that we as Villagers and Americans can not tolerate? As one poster put it, it doesn’t matter if you went to the finest schools in the land if you have no heart or soul.
And, I have heard nothing from the current non-candidate Council and former Council members. So often, I have heard them preach words of atonement and the desire for inclusivity, but now, nothing. Indeed, it is rumoured that current and former council members had a hand in circulating Jurgen’s malignant diatribe, and I would like them to at least publicly deny those allegations, even if they feel they shouldn’t comment on the content of the Harwin / Willet supporters’ letter in the midist of a campaign.
All too often in our World’s history we have witnessed how silence begets inaction, how silence begets intolerance and how silence begets inequality. Harwin and Willett’s silence speaks volumes as to who these two candidates really are.
I’ve heard about this picture taking incident from several credible sources. Why take these photos? And why would the husband of the candidate be the one to take the photos? Anyone could have taken those photos. Why him? If this was Aronson’s way of embarrassing a fellow Bergen County Committe member, and the husband of the candiate is doing the bidding, then this is further confirmation that the candidate herself is merely using Ridgewood as her political playing field. Or is there another endgame here? Is what we’re seeing exactly what we’re supposed to see (and feel)? Are the lies and malice (and the photos) supposed to build up this resentment for some other political purpose? Is The Record going to now swoop in and distort the facts to make some political point about all of this and paint Ridgewood leadership in yet another false light? Remember how The Record took up trumped up flag issue. And they just ran the false “nepotism” story.

Remember how much hot water Trump got into in 2016 when a KKK leader expressed support for his candidacy and he did not disavow it? That was a lot more extreme but when a leader is supported by a hateful person or group it is important to refuse that support or lose the respect of others. “Radio silence” by Harwin to date suggests that she is OK with this in the “silence means consent” department. If I were running (god forbid) and somebody emailed and mailed all that stuff supposedly on my behalf, I would be shouting from the rooftops that that was not the kind of support I desired.
As for our current and past council members, Ramon Hache has protested the hate-slinging libel in a robo-call. Brain-free Hauck is definitely involved, desperately attempting to make her life mean something. Voigt is with the Aronsohn camp. I would have hoped for better from Bernie Walsh but have lost my enthusiasm for her.
Re 846 comment. Just heard that Councilman Ramon Hache stepped up to the plate with some sort of Facebook announcement noting there is no place for hatred in our town and calling out the Jurgen letter. Hats off to Mr.Hache.
I am sure Mr. Voight and Ms Walsh will soon also denounce the Jurgen letter and lets see how far behind our former councilmembers are. An attack against any of us is an attack against all of us!

For those of you who feel we need a clean sweep, remember the only other candidates running are the ones who are allowing this absolute filth to be circulated. You can’t get a decent “clean sweep” for another 2 years, but PLEASE PLEASE don’t turn our village over to the candidates running in opposition to our current council members. This whole thing should show the town that we need qualified people to run and for us to work like mad to find suitable candidates who are willing to give up their life to run our town. In the meantime, vote for Susan and Michael. They may not have visibly done all you hoped for as most of their work is behind the scenes. BUT they have done nothing to hurt Ridgewood, while Aronson’s groupies brought in all the extra dwellings which will overwhelm our schools, create traffic problems, etc. Please don’t stay home because that will give the vote to Willet and Hardin who support these horrible letters as only the first thing in their further destruction of Ridgewood.
It is so very, very sad that we have returned to the divisions of the Aronson / Pucciarelli regime. I think we all thought that had been put behind us. As the saying goes, those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
