Red Alert, Ridgewood!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I’m writing out of deep concern regarding this upcoming Village Council election on May 8th and hope that you can share this note with other residents so that they understand what is really happening here.

The level of lies, slander and libelous talk coming from the campaign against Mayor Knudsen and Councilman Sedon has reached a dangerous pitch and we now find ourselves on the precipice of landing right back in the same bad state of government that Ridgewood had fallen into two years ago.

Make no mistake. The former mayor and those behind him are behind these two opposing candidates; and should either one be elected, we are going to be facing yet another four years of fighting tooth and nail to protect our village against further inappropriate high-density developments and other massive projects that will reshape Ridgewood into a place that we will no longer recognize.

Mayor Knudsen and Councilman Sedon have worked tirelessly to fix the damage incurred by the previous village council majority and former village manager. They repealed Ordinance 3066, which had previously permitted inappropriate development, including the Valley Expansion, to gain traction. Mayor Knudsen mitigated the level of high-density that had been approved by her predecessor and both Mayor Knudsen and Councilman Sedon are working hard to create a new Master Plan that will pave the way for more reasonable development while maintaining the feel of the Ridgewood that we all know and love.

So, I am asking for your help in sharing this note. Send it to everyone in town you know. It is imperative that we make sure everyone in Ridgewood understands what is really afoot and act accordingly.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Dana

  1. That’s Dana Glazer. Yes, Dana! Let’s bring back decorum and honesty.

  2. I can’t believe that this Jurgen guy said “Councilwoman Knudsen’s request could be deemed a conflict of interest based on the appearance that the elimination of the residency requirement for civilian employees could lead to the same action for non-civilian employees.” Simply beyond the pale! Oh wait, that wasn’t Jurgen it was an on-the-record statement from the village’s long-serving labor attorney.

  3. Dana is correct it’s libel. Favorite Ghostbusters line, “I’m gonna sue your ass off!”
    Watch out Hans.

  4. Who is the village Labor attorney.

  5. Dana has the best heart and is a wonderful citizen. Thank you dana for all you do!!

  6. A.k.a. village attorney ??

  7. 3;33, would you be talking about the woman whom Aronsohn invited to take 45-50 minutes in a 3-minute public comment session to character-assassinate Susan?

  8. Welcome to Montclair…welcome to Fort Lee…

  9. 7:00- you have a great memory . . .I forgot about that disgrace from the labor attorney. Awful attack on Susan Knudsen that night.

  10. Not sure who you are taking about but 3:33 was probably talking about an attorney that served the village for decades only to have her professionalism publically attacked because she asked the now Mayor why she was delaying a vote on an ordinance when the delay had the potential to help family. The nerve. Anyone still wondering why people on this site are noticing that the attorneys in town are voting the same way?

  11. At Village attorney is a puppet. We met him at a council meeting

  12. Lol Gail price. Has served Gail price and valley hospital. And that’s it. She’s a black hearted liar.

  13. Could be 8:50. But this was an attorney that served towns all over the state on employment law and public sector union contracts. Speaking of public sector contracts, should we talk about why we aren’t renewing the police contract until after the election? Anyone care to guess the increase in that contract if the election goes “a certain way?” I’m sure it’s totally unrelated.

  14. 833 people are getting educated about this and your bullshit is not working. Hans leeman is a deceitful liar and he’s being exposed bigly. Exposed.liars..and looks.like.more knuds4n signs out. People are posed off.

  15. The Village Attorney’s client is the Village, not any elected councilmember. Nobody on the council should look to the Village Attorney for political support. The advice needs to be detailed, accurate and COMPLETE. Why he didn’t ward the council off of a one-off up-or-down vote on allowing a single third-party group to erect their flag on Village property for an entire month is a mystery. Elected officeholders considering the merits of that organization’s message or mission when deciding yes or no on such a proposed flag display is a municipal sin under well-known first amendment jurisprudence (as now applied to the several states). So sometimes our Village Attorney unaccountably drops the ball. The right way to handle this? Set up a simple content-blind procedure administered by the Village Manager, with no need or opportunity for grandstanding officeholders and third party petitioners to pollute Ridgewood’s political atmosphere with obscene virtue signaling at village council meetings.

  16. Yes but the are all dirty.
