Ridgewood NJ, F (Jeffrey Francis) Krizan (RHS 1969) is the preeminent author of historical fiction addressing behavioral consequences and spiritual divisions.  His original poetry often appears in his novels as part of the storyline or as a literary summation. Krizan’s writing has common themes of hopefulness, angst from making personal choices, the importance of maintaining balance between family, work and friends, unconditional love, and finally, the downside of delaying a faith commitment. The author’s books are available on Amazon.

Krizan’s rebuttal to Sam Altman’s OpenAI obsession to diminish actual human intelligence by unleashing potentially uncontrollable “artificial intelligence” (A.I.) is through my recently published fictional short story, “The Last Great American Short Story: A Publisher’s Narration of the First A.I. Casualty.”

“True, A.I. may aid America to establish a colony on Mars or alternatively, it may result in the irrevocable nuclear annihilation of humankind. Maybe I’m wrong but at the very least, it will leave our grandchildren pondering the pointlessness of higher education. After all, why bother, everything is done FOR us. An irony to Altman’s view of the benefits of A.I. is through his admitted role as a “prepper!” Perhaps he has already weighed the risks and determined that this all might not end well? ”
