Ridgewood NJ, Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a great form of exercise for all ages. The Ridgewood Recreation Department will be offering two SUP programs this summer.
Intro to SUP is a 4 class series that introduces participants to the sport allowing them to utilize surf paddle boards in the water and practice stand up exercises using a paddle to balance and move. This class will be held on Thursdays, July 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 6:15-7:15pm at Graydon Pool. $200 for all 4 classes.
SUP Yoga Workshops– Choose between one or all of the 4 individual hour long workshops in which participants will learn various yoga poses while balancing their paddle board on the water. Each class costs $50, and participants may choose between the following four dates: Wednesday July 6, 13, 20, or 27 at 6:15-7:15pm at Graydon Pool.
Registration is currently open on Community Pass: www. ridgewoodnj.net/communitypass. Once logged in, click ‘Register Now” for the Graydon Pool/ Tennis/ Skatepark option. In the pop up window, select “Continue” for Memberships for Graydon Pool. After following the prompts, SUP Paddleboard sessions will be at the bottom of the page.
This class is dependent on the number of registrations, if the minimum capacity is not hit, the program will be cancelled.
