In January, the US economy saw the addition of 353,000 nonfarm jobs, surpassing economist predictions of 185,000 jobs and showing an increase from the revised 333,000 jobs reported in December, according to recently released government data. The unemployment rate remained stable at 3.7% for the third consecutive month .
This jobs report follows the Federal Reserve’s decision this week to maintain its benchmark federal-funds rate within the range of 5.25% and 5.5% (see 101). The Fed has sustained this rate for the fourth consecutive meeting, marking the highest level in over two decades. While the Fed tentatively plans to decrease rates three times this year, Chairman Jerome Powell indicated that a rate cut is unlikely at the group’s next meeting in March. In December, the core personal consumption expenditures price index, the Fed’s preferred inflation measure, rose to 2.9% year-over-year, surpassing the targeted 2% annual rate.
The majority of jobs added in January came from professional and business services (74,000), healthcare (70,000), and retail trade (45,000). Average hourly earnings showed a year-over-year growth of 4.5% in January, up from 4.1% in December. You can find the data here.

Good because we lost 7 millions jobs 6 months after Sloppy Joe took office.
Not even close to being true.

I see nothing at the St Louis Fed that refutes this. They show the Unemployment Rate 3.7%.
All jobs, nonfarm
Jan 2021- 142,916 (thousands)
Jul 2021- 153,038 (thousands)
gain of @10 million. Sourced from US Bureau of Labor Stats.
Confusing Total Nonfarm employment with the unemployment rate.
The question wasn’t about the employment rate.
The original post stated a jobs loss of 7 million in six months.
There was actually a gain of 10 million.
I see the D-controlled media are pushing stories like this, along with Sleepy Joe getting all tough with the Iranians. His election numbers are looking pretty grim. Too late, Dems. You let those woke idiots get too much control and now you’re going to get landslided. No amount of cheating is going to get you over the line this time.
Exactly. And the Establishment always prefers to have a Republican-led administration as the face of major hot war so the Democrats can go back to playacting pacifism.

Noted Dem Larry Kudlow on liberal media channel Fox News.
Can’t trust the numbers by this admit and media! I say the high job numbers are government jobs not as much the private sector.
No.

Yes.

It very clearly lays out private vs. gov’t jobs. Yes, gov’t jobs rose, but were a small fraction of the total.
Most are in manufacturing and medical.
I would expect nothing less from the most popular president in all of U.S. history. Let that sink in again and again you losers. The numbers didn’t lie then and they sure as heck ain’t lying now. So go bite your MyPillows Trumptards because this guy is getting it done.
Don’t forget the Asterisk
