Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police Department escorted this year’s Christmas tree from Township of Washington to East Ridgewood and Broad St where it will be decorated for the Downtown for the holidays celebration on December 3rd. Downes Tree Service got the tree in shape and in the stand . The tree stands 60 feet tall where it is now and it is a Norway spruce.
The tree was located by Kevin Downes of Downes Tree Service, Inc. in Hawthorne on the property of Christopher and Ann Dixon in Washington Township. The tree was cut down and removed by Downes Tree Service, Inc. on Monday morning, 11/22 and transported via a flatbed tractor trailer from Washington Township to East Ridgewood Avenue and North Broad Street, Ridgewood. A police escort (Ridgewood PD) accompanied the tractor trailer and Downes support trucks from Washington Township to Ridgewood. Downes Tree Service, Inc. employees unloaded and erected the tree. It will be decorated on a later date by employees of the Village of Ridgewood’s Signal Division.
The backdrop looks like Montclair.
We can only hope there’s not a foot pursuit!
Its a great tradition….. look forward to the lighting with the family
Tom Youmans was THE BEST at decorating the tree!!
did not even recognize the location…Montclair-Hackensack-Summit. sucks!
