Ridgewood NJ, on Thursday the Village of Ridgewood 2022 Christmas tree was delivered to the central business district in Ridgewood . The tree arrived just before the long overdue paving starts on Franklin Avenue . Ridgewood puts up a fresh tree for Christmas every year . The yearly tradition is for a donated tree to be cut down and delivered to the Village . The reality is that the donors get a much needed free tree removal and the Village gets a beautiful tree for the holiday season. Downs Tree service cuts the tree down and brings it into town .

The Pinus virginiana or “Virginia Pine” has one of the shortest lifespans of all the pine trees. The Virginia Pine only grows to a max height of about 60 feet with a typical lifespan between 65-90 years. The Virginia Pine tree is a best-seller on Christmas tree farms!

We donated the tree. We didn’t get dinged $500. Downs was great and helped us out with a couple other things. It was a nice tree but right next to the driveway. A lot of stuff to clean up. We’ll plant another tree. 🙂 Merry Christmas!
