Ridgewood NJ, Starting from Friday, March 1st, commuters traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway will experience an increase in toll rates, with fares for passenger cars going up by 3%.
As per the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, this adjustment results in a 15-cent hike for Turnpike tolls and a 5-cent rise for Parkway tolls for the average passenger vehicle.
This change is part of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s 2024 budget.
Passenger cars benefit from discounted E-Z Pass rates during off-peak hours. Peak periods, defined as 7 to 9 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as all day on weekends, will maintain standard toll rates.
