Traffic on Route 17 Northbound Slowed to a Crawl after SUV hits Utility Pole in Paramus

Paramus NJ, traffic on Route 17 northbound in Paramus was slowed to a crawl on Tuesday evening, 05/11, as a result of a serious crash near the Midland Avenue overpass. Multiple injuries requiring ambulance transportation were reported following the crash of an SUV into a utility pole. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, and Paramus EMS units responded to the incident along with mutual aid ambulances and a paramedic team from the local hospital consortium.

A tow truck removed the totaled vehicle from the highway. PSE&G Electric Division technicians attended to the damaged utility pole. No information was available at the scene as to what caused the crash.
