Newark NJ, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials made a startling discovery during routine security screenings at Newark Liberty International Airport . A Florida man was arrested after a revolver with four bullets was found concealed in his carry-on bag.
According to officials, the weapon was detected as the bag passed through the X-ray machine in Terminal C. Despite the stringent security measures in place, the traveler claimed to be unaware of the loaded gun packed within his belongings.
The consequences for such negligence are severe. In addition to being apprehended by TSA officials, the man could potentially face a fine of up to $15,000 for attempting to bring a firearm onto an aircraft.
This incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of adhering to TSA regulations and exercising vigilance when traveling. Firearms, whether loaded or unloaded, are strictly prohibited in carry-on luggage and must be properly declared and stowed in checked baggage in accordance with TSA guidelines.
Not an isolated incident. So far this year, Newark Liberty Airport has confiscated three firearms from travelers attempting to bring them through security checkpoints.

I’m sure he forgot. Must be an old timer I don’t know anyone using revolvers anymore
Yeah, he was probably on his way to steal some horses or shoot up a saloon.
Shaking my head….
I do,
Oh please. Not falling for the “unaware” angle. It’s a carry on! Of course he knew it was there. Calling BS on that. Glad they caught it
I get some of the comments are sarcasm and a hint of laughter but, who knows who this person is, just saying
Quite a risk. Insane.
