Paramus NJ, A three (3) vehicle Tuesday afternoon, 04/27, collision in front of 120 Route 17 North Paramus, wiped out a fire hydrant and a section of guardrail when a minivan involved in the crash careened off of the traveled roadway. One (1) person was extricated from the heavily damaged vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At least two (2) vehicles involved in the mishap were towed; multiple flatbed tow trucks were observed working at the scene. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, and a hospital consortium BLS ambulance crew were all working at the scene. Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue was dispatched to the location, but called off after the entrapped victim was successfully removed by Paramus firefighters. Traffic in the area was a mess for hours after the crash.
This crash effed up traffic for miles yesterday. Paramus Road become a parking lot because of it.
