The vote came after a new study by remediation specialists Lisko Environmental found that underground piping at the site of the former restaurant, 95 Linwood Avenue, would require further investigation and more money spent by the township.
The future of the former Charlie Brown’s had been a hot-button issue in Twp. of Washington and Paramus in recent weeks. The township was looking to purchase the building, which borders Paramus, to build a new Department of Public Works building at the site, neighbors in both Twp. of Washington and Paramus were adamantly against the plan due to fear of increased traffic and loss of quality of life.
Now low-income and affordable housing can be built on the site, which is much needed in the town.
Ha.
serves them right.
A day care center/nursery school was the other interested bidder.
How about a go go bar.
If the go-go bar is open 24 hours a day with cool, flashy signage, it could really be a nice addition to the town.
With rising gas prices caused by the Biden Administration, people may not be able to afford to drive to their regular go go bar and may be looking for something local. So a go go bar is a great idea.
