Newark NJ, exciting news for travelers! Starting in May 2025, United Airlines is launching five new nonstop flights from its hub in Newark/New York to destinations that no other U.S. airline currently serves. These unique routes will connect travelers to some of the most intriguing and less-traveled locations around the globe, including Nuuk, Greenland; Palermo, Italy; Bilbao, Spain; Madeira Island, Portugal; and Faro, Portugal.
In addition, United will introduce three new nonstop routes from Washington D.C./Dulles, marking the airline’s first-ever year-round flight to Dakar, Senegal, and seasonal services to Nice, France, and Venice, Italy.
Already the U.S. airline leader in transatlantic travel, United’s summer 2025 schedule is set to be its largest ever, with more than 760 weekly flights crossing the Atlantic. These new routes will make it easier than ever for travelers to experience new adventures abroad. Travelers will also have earlier access to favorite destinations like Venice, Italy, Athens, Greece, and Barcelona, Spain, as United plans to begin service earlier in the season. Additionally, United will increase the number of weekly flights to Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Athens, Greece from Newark/New York.
On the Pacific side, United is expanding its reach with new direct flights from Tokyo-Narita to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and Kaohsiung, making United the only U.S. airline to serve these cities. Also, a new nonstop route to Koror, Palau is being added to United’s already extensive international network. These flights will connect seamlessly in Tokyo with United’s services to five major U.S. hub locations.
Whether you’re planning a summer escape to the Mediterranean or an adventure to the far reaches of Greenland or Mongolia, United Airlines is making it easier than ever to explore the world. Stay tuned for booking information and get ready to pack your bags for the journey of a lifetime in 2025!
