Ridgewood NJ, an unoccupied Toyota Yaris rolled away from its parking spot in downtown Ridgewood early Monday afternoon, 10/09, and struck another vehicle before slamming into a busy outdoor dining area at the Raymond’s Restaurant. Thankfully, no one was injured in the freak accident, and damage was limited to a table, some chairs, and an outdoor flower box. Neither the Yaris nor the vehicle it struck were badly damaged; both were driven from the scene. Ridgewood Police issued one (1) summons in connection with the mishap. Ridgewood Fire Department and a paramedic team responded to the incident as a precaution. Two (2) restaurant patrons were evaluated by EMTs; both refused medical attention.
