River vale NJ Important updates for business and nonprofit employees employees impacted by COVID 19 from Alyssa Kaye Dawson Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi at State of New Jersey:
1) The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), in partnership with the Office of the Governor of New Jersey, is working to develop programs and resources to support New Jersey’s business community during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Specifically, NJEDA is seeking information from small-to-medium enterprise owners and executives to inform the development of new programs and initiatives to support organizations during the COVID-19 response.

The responses will be used in the development of short-term support that will be launched imminently, so PLEASE COMPLETE THIS ASAP!
2) The NJEDA also has a hotline, 1-800-JERSEY-7, open from 8am-9pm to provide support to business owners experiencing loss due to COVID-19. In addition to the hotline, there is a live chat option & FAQs on their website at https://cv.business.nj.gov.
Today, Governor Murphy signed A3845 into law, which allows the EDA to provide grants during periods of emergency to businesses to meet payroll and for working capital.
3) The US SBA loan program is accepting applications from businesses & non-profit organizations and will be distributing loans of up to $2million to alleviate the fiscal impact of COVID-19. To apply and for more information, visit https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.
4) Individuals needing to file for unemployment insurance are urged to apply online at https://myunemployment.nj.gov/. If you are unable to access the internet, please call:
