Temporary Entrance Closures at Ridgewood Village Hall Due to Cellular Infrastructure Upgrades

Ridgewood NJ, If you have business to conduct at Village Hall over the next few days, you will want to plan your route accordingly. The Village of Ridgewood has announced that Verizon is officially beginning infrastructure work today, Thursday, May 21, 2026, to install a brand-new cellular antenna on the roof of Village Hall.
Because the installation requires heavy machinery, the building’s layout and access points will be temporarily altered. Here is what residents and employees need to know to navigate the area safely.
Thursday, May 21: Rear Main Entrance Closed
Due to the presence of a massive construction crane, the main entrance to Village Hall located in the rear parking lot will be completely closed for the entire day on Thursday.
While the rear entrance is blocked off, the building remains fully operational. Visitors and staff can safely enter and exit the building through two alternative access points:

The Community Center Entrance

The Maple Avenue Entrance
Both of these locations will remain completely open, unobstructed, and accessible to the public throughout normal operating hours.
Friday, May 22: Police Parking Lot Delays
The construction footprint will shift heading into the weekend. On Friday, May 22, 2026, Verizon crews will transition their work area to the opposite side of the building, specifically operating near the police department parking lot.
While the main rear entrance is expected to reopen on Friday, motorists and pedestrians should exercise extra caution near the police parking area and watch out for utility vehicles, moving equipment, and work crews.
