Ridgewood NJ, Watch and listen to Ridgewood Village Manager Heather Mailander’s publicly televised, 4 1/2 minute diatribe concerning the proposed purchase and installation of dog waste (poopie) bag dispensers in selected Village parks. Clearly this Village employee (yes an employee; not an elected official) does not like dogs and made every attempt to poo-poo the implementation of a simple program that many nearby municipalities have fully embraced. Thankfully, the Village Council did not heed her advice and will continue their discussion of poopie bag dispenser installations at a later date.
If she wants the parks designated as carry in carry out for dog shit, they should be carry in carry out for all garbage. Some discarded food smells worse than dog shit.
Shit like this continues to keep Ridgewood #1 on the list of the most laughable towns in Bergen County.
$12 million being spent on an ugly as sin parking garage but Hache wants the “numbers” before he commits to poopie bag dispensers. What a fucking joke.
Oh my god this is ridiculous. Every town has poop bag dispensers. It is a public service. So much preparation on Mailander’s part for this minor expense, yet they railroad through hundreds of thousands of dollars on other stuff. Get the damn bag dispensers

There is so much garbage in the parks. Not dog waste. Garbage. People just drop their mineral water bottles everywhere. Dog owners are by and large much better about picking up their poop than non dog owners are about their own crap.

Clean up after your dog with your own bag. If people expect others to supply bags for them then dogsh!t will be all over town. I wish young couples would make babies instead of caring like maniacs after a bunch of dogs as their kids and then expect town supply the diapers for their dogs.
