When I lived in Allendale, I was on a busy (more than 90 degree) corner with a slight rise and foliage that could block the view of cars turning right.
If I even got a little remiss in trimming the foliage back, I would get a note from the town saying that either I could do it, or the town would do it and send me a bill.
And this was 40 years ago………………….

How about the board of health, the engineering department, go out and inspect people‘s backyard to meet up with all the Brooks in town, is anyone inspecting that with all the debris that they store at the edge of their property and the Brook . Or they throw their debris in the Brook. this has been a problem for many years and no one is addressing it.
They need to knock down that zion church on Broad Street – you have to pull out in road to see traffic. It has to go.
Also there are some permanent 100 year old stone structures on Godwin and West End that need taken down. They have been there for a century, but thems the rules!
There are at least 50 major violations in the Country Club section of town. You cannot get into West End or Highland from Godwin without pulling out onto Ridgewood Avenue. There are 3-4 intersections that you have to pull out 8 feet past the stop marker to get on Lincoln Ave as well.
Start with the obvious ones.
enforcement in this village is badly lacking. look at the derelict required vegetation screening at the valley hospital site. Been a joke for over 5 years.
Take a drive down E. Glen from Northern Parkway to Rt. 17 and you’ll see several corners needing improvement. Throw in those who decide their personal speed limit is 40+ and you have disasters in the making.
Making a left off Van Dien to East Glen is horrible. I realize we have a neighbor that is a Gold Star advocate, but we need to tell the nice old man he needs to cut his shrubs. sorry

Yes, residence definitely need to clean the edge of their property that meets with the Brooke you go for a riding you see all this shit piled up brush, wood, yard waste, toys, logs, and then we get a big rain storm, and the brick goes over the banks and guess what it takes all their old debris, downstream and jams up at a few locations, they think they’re smart. We don’t know what’s going on. We know what’s going on. We’re onto you people. Clean up your backyard. They should be issued summons as the cleanup.
