Ridgewood NJ, late Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2024, the Village of Ridgewood submitted a revised application to the State Historic Preservation Office regarding the Zabriskie-Schedler Park Project. The revision includes an independent assessment conducted by Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. relative to field use in the Village, which addresses comments made by the Historic Preservation Office in a letter dated March 22, 2024.

Just curious when are the results coming back from the state regarding our dirt pile berm. Does anyone have a date? We think nothing else should start until those results. Come back.
KK has that all covered, don’t you worry about that, he knows the right ppl to grease in Trenton.. I’m sure they will come back A-okay even if the are not.. Can e all say Corrupt
Why do we have a corrupt village manager. Isn’t there anything we can do?
Just click your heels together three times and say “There’s no place like home” and you’ll be there.
Post of the Day
Funny how he was Pee Wee’s Campaign MGR and got the Village Job as Manager? It would be safe to say, nobody else applied for the position
Villagers, fear not!
Soon it will be all systems go.
With or without soil testing results.
Operation normal….Abby normal.
Mr. Kazmark apparently has a long standing close professional relationship with Tahesha Way, the Lt. Gov of NJ, the same people who oversee the NJDEP. Perhaps he should recuse himself.
I always wondered why was the soil relived in the very early dark hours of the morning? Is that true?
There is more than dirty soil in Ridgewood, there are dirty politics. Just look at most of the council and the mayor. BBBBBBad to the bone. Mr. Kazmark, our illustrious village manager, who has been here less than a year and has been on a massive spending spree with taxpayer monies, doesn’t care. He has a job to do and is rowing in the same boat with Vagianos, Perron, Whino and Weitz. They are carrying a heavy load though, so they’d better hope they don’t sink because there are very few who will throw them a life preserver.
Keith is clenching his jaw just reading this! Let’s put it this way, how long after RW water found out about PFAS did residents know? If this follows suit like anything else since this mayor and coucil have been around, then when they do find out, you’ll be the last to know. There is a lot of scheming that has to take place before anyting meaningful is ever communicated. That is how things are done in one of the best places to live in New Jersey.
No quit in these guys….
This is a joke along the same lines as the cbd “empty” garage.
Keep an eye out for Scott Muller’s next round of petition emails
Just say no
And KK is pushing for that 340 thousand dollar pavilion for healthbarn. He is a huge fan of the business that seems to have more say about Habernickel park then the tax payers! Why was she at a parks and rec meeting that quietly was relocated to her place of business? And then next there is a pavilion plan that benefits her business but tax payers will pay for?
The report says there is no space available at the Glen School.
That shows how these “consultants” are “sold out”.
Just a shame!
It is obvious that the consulting group was hired by the village to tell a story. Unfortunately the bad actors who are providing the marching orders, Kazmark at the helm following along with Vagianos, Winograd, Weitz, Perron, village engineering , and others who have a vested interest, don’t care whether it is true or fabricated, who is up for re election or who is running for election. It is not rocket science to figure this out what is really going on here in the pay to play world of RW. Let’s not kid ourselves that our municipality is highly regarded for being honest or transparent (except for Ms. Reynolds). Just chalk this off to yet another day in the life of Vagianos’ magical mystery tour where Ridgewood residents foot the bill.
THAT diagram “allows for a multi-purpose park”? It certainly looks like it covers the majority of the property to me. And where is the historical tree?
The revised application states that the Glen School property is fully developed. That is not the case. Plans on file at the Board of Education note that an additional field can be placed at Glen. It would go in front of the building facing East Glen Avenue.
So taxpayers spent several thousand dollars to have a professional do the fields analysis and it is wrong. Can we get our money back?
Funny how the RBSA guys have stopped asking for a 60×90 field.
Schedler is too small for the big baseball field. That’s a Little League field (46×60) in the sketch.
So, this is for LL, soccer (Wino and Brooks), and Lacrosse (Brooks).
How do you like them apples…?
Rotten Apples for sure, with a little bit of Wine-O
RBSA is apparently too busy obtaining email distribution lists like the recent dad’s night debacle.
This field will be grossly underutilized just like the parking garage. Another bad idea and waste of money. Stop the insanity. Drain the swamp.
The problem is, you can drain the swamp, but there are people behind the curtain that control our local government. Have you noticed we keep on changing Mayer and Council, and managers and guess what happens the same sneaky shit. This has been going on from what I could say the past 30 years, and if someone thinks I’m wrong we’ll call me out. I’ll be glad , and if someone thinks I’m wrong well call me out. I’ll be glad to meet you for a cuppa coffee and shoot the shit. When I’m done with you, you’ll be spitting up bloody nails. And that’s not bullshit.
It’s a theater. Same with federal government.
“but there are people behind the curtain that control our local government”
Just the local government???????????????
So very true.
Is the village now placing all bets on this highly priced engineering company to somehow save the day and pull the village out of the quicksand they are stuck in. This is an epic embarassment costing residents tax monies that should be spent responsibly. Ridgewood council and our big ego crackerjack box village manager need to dig themselves out of their shitshow fiasco and fast. If anyone cannot see the red (I mean maroon) flags flying they have to be in on this scam. One can only wonder what the Historic State Org and NJDEP really think of Ridgewood? At this point, residents along with the Attorney General should be looking closely at activities to ensure that there is nothing allegedly unethical going on here esp in light of a mayor who provides a loan to the Chair of a Park’s committee. Things just are not adding up.
From the Montvale water article on today’s blog, this could apply to some Schedler residents too:
“The well-being of our communities depends on access to safe and uncontaminated water,” said Attorney General Platkin. “Once again, our message is clear: We will pursue repayment and repair when corporate actions injure our natural resources. No one is above the law when environmental damages are at stake.”
Between Kazmark and Mailander, salaries are a whopping almost $700,000 a year right there and they need to hire a consulting firm to resubmit an application? Why is no smart thinking is happening in Ridgewood in top admin level. This is the reason we almost were in furloughville with village employees last year. The lights are on but there is apparently no one home. Another waste of tax dollars that could be spent on health and safety projects of which I have seen none.

Vagianos – The man behind the madness, Scene 1
As the minuteness of the parts formed a great hindrance to my speed, I resolved, contrary to my first intention, to make the being of a gigantic stature, that is to say, proportionably large. After having formed this determination and having spent some months in successfully collecting and arranging my materials, I began.
No one can conceive the variety of feelings which bore me onwards, like a hurricane, in the first enthusiasm of success. Life and death appeared to me ideal bounds, which I should first break through, and pour a torrent of light into our dark world. A new species would bless me as its creator and source; many happy and excellent natures would owe their being to me. No father could claim the gratitude of his child so completely as I should deserve theirs. Pursuing these reflections, I thought that if I could bestow animation upon lifeless matter, I might in process of time (although I now found it impossible) renew life where death had apparently devoted the body to corruption.

From this moment forward and in order to simplify everything, I proclaim that Schedler Park will have an enormous schwanzstucker.

Ooph
The land area is too small for all of this condensed activity, the neighborhood is too small to be expected to absorb such a monstrosity, the available parking will be very limited causing significant overflow down residential and child active Kingsbridge, Terhune, and Kenwood, cars exiting off Route 17 north onto W. Saddle River Road already speed ALL DAY EVERY DAY (children by definition of the parks use WILL BE PRESENT!), and such a concentration of people and CHILDREN adjacent to Route 17 and its busy TRUCK TRAFFIC is a DISASTER just waiting to happen. It’s too easy to just stick this giant unneeded and unnecessarily expensive park into the little bit of Ridgewood that finds itself on the other (out of site!) side of Ridgewood. Take the Valley Hospital site by eminent domain and build your shit there. You threw them out, so you buy the land and build away. That’s assuming we even need a field, which we DO NOT. Just plan and properly schedule the use of the ones we already have and call it a day.
