Ridgewood NJ, the word is that there is a shakeup at Village Parks department. Apparently the tree supervisor has been missing for a month and Director of Parks and Recreation Nancy Bigos is scrambling for someone to cover the position .
Wow…that’s ironic.
I sent him an e-mail last week asking if he was going to trim the branches that he agreed to cut last September…!
Has a missing persons report been filed by a relative?
Can’t blame him. Working for Nancy must be incredibly maddening.
I have been waiting on 7 trees that the department said needed trimming in SEPTEMBER OF 2019!!!!! I’ve been to the office 3 times and numerous emails and phone calls
Honestly if you look at the village trees I never would have thought anyone was in charge.
Hire the guy that gives tickets for leaves and sprinklers. That dude is on top of shit.
Someone must know where he is. Does he have any family friends in the area. Why is this coming out now a month later . The rest of us could not looking for him. My God ridiculous just amazing. Who is conducting the investigation.

It gives public employees the perfect excuse to not have to deal with constituents in person.
Also provides the perfect excuse to not do any work (shortages and supply issues, you understand)
As well as providing the perfect opportunity to not answer phones and slow respond to voice mails (if answered at all)
All the while allowing them to publicly proclaim that they are overworked “heros” who have “never worked so hard”

The fact that everyone is referring to this person as “tree guy” not by his name says it all. A few years ago I spoke to him about trees that were dead in Habernickle park & he trimmed trees but didn’t remove the dead ones….a month later one of them fell & went across the walking path thank god no one got hurt. Nancy is useless & so is her staff at least when Tim was in charge you actually saw him in parks does Nancy even know where our parks are?
Is this a Forensics File type of missing or a “just doesn’t return messages” missing?
There is someone in town who is very qualified. Nancy already knows him. Time to reach out.
I got an 80.00 ticket for some leaves that the town left behind during leaf pick up. (In the “old” days the town would rake up the leaves the trucks left behind and the street sweepers did the rest). Our high taxes at work. Ridgewood was an amazing place to live back in the day.
The swat team had to be called in on that violation. It took three patrol cars for that ticket.
Simple, just have the guy who takes care of the village roads take care of the trees.

Somethings fishy here if he’s really missing legally they have to put out his full name. We don’t think he’s missing, maybe he just doesn’t wanna work in the Village of Ridgewood anymore. Maybe he quit. This is not the full story.
Why do we need a tree guy when every new homeowner feels the need to cut down perfectly live trees for esthetic reasons (ie. Oak st.)
Use parks Forman to handle tree Dept .
