Demarest NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of ARTIST J. DUBOSE aka “A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie” (DOB: 12/06/1995; single; musician) of NJ on charges of Unlawful Possession Of A Handgun and Possession Of Marijuana; QUASHAUN HAGLER (2/09/1987; married; personal security) of 1903 Arbor Springs Way, Buford, GA on charges of Unlawful Possession Of A Handgun and Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine; and SAMBLOU CAMARA (DOB: 12/25/1992; single; DUBOSE’s manager) of 120 Greenwich Drive, Bergenfield, NJ on a charge of Possession Of Marijuana. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

As part of an investigation conducted by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO), on Monday, December 7, 2020, detectives from the BCPO, along with detectives from the New York Police Department and officers from the Demarest Police Department, executed a search warrant at ARTIST DUBOSE’s residence in NJ. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of four guns, specifically a Ruger .380 handgun, a Glock .40 caliber handgun, an H&K 9mm handgun, and a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, hollow point bullets, various high capacity magazines, as well as marijuana, hashish oil edibles and drug paraphernalia commonly associated with the distribution of controlled dangerous substances. ARTIST DUBOSE and QUASHAUN HAGLER were arrested at this time without incident.

On Monday, December 7, 2020, BCPO detectives and officers from the Bergenfield Police Department executed a search warrant at SAMBLOU CAMARA’s residence located at 120 Greenwich Drive, Bergenfield, NJ. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of marijuana and hashish oil edibles. SAMBLOU CAMARA was arrested from this location without incident.

ARTIST DUBOSE was charged with one count of Unlawful Possession Of A Handgun in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5(b)(1), a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Possession Of Marijuana, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10(a)(4), a disorderly persons offense. QUASHAUN HAGLER was charged with three counts of Unlawful Possession of A Handgun in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5(b)(1), a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Possession Of A Large Capacity Magazine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3J, a 4th degree crime. SAMBLOU CAMARA was charged with one count of Possession Of Marijuana in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(3), a 4th degree crime. They were all released on their own recognizance, pending their first appearances in Central Judicial Processing Court.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella would also like to thank the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, NYPD, Demarest Police Department, Palisades Interstate Parkway Police and the Bergenfield Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
