Lodi NJ, Legislation sponsored by Senator Kristin Corrado to help alleviate long delays at Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) locations during the pandemic was advanced today by the Senate Transportation Committee.

Senator Corrado’s legislation, approved today in committee, would offer the written driver’s test online and reduce long delays at motor vehicle commission locations.

Corrado’s bill, S-3177, requires MVC to administer the written driver’s license knowledge examination online during the COVID public health emergency.

“The test should be available through a secure internet site under the control of the commission,” said Corrado (R-40). “Immediately, this would help allay backlogs at testing centers and reduce person-to-person contact during the pandemic. It is a safer, more efficient alternative to the traditional test process, and it can be done without compromising the safety of our roadways or new drivers.”

The legislation would also require MVC to allow an applicant for a special learner’s permit or examination permit to complete the written knowledge exam online.

“New Jersey residents are shopping online for groceries and gifts and using the internet to work remotely. There is no reason they shouldn’t be able to take their driver’s test the same way,” said Corrado. “This would be a temporary solution, and when the public health emergency is over, things will go back to normal.”

  2. Absolutely not. Look at these politicians continue to take advantage of this PLANdemic — a non-person-to-person approach to doing these basic civilian tasks will leave NJ rife for all kinds of MVC fraud. I will not have my liberty taken away from me — it is my constitutional right to go to the MVC whenever the hell I damn want — I will take this to SCOTUS, and I hope Trump does the same. We need to stop the Radical Left from taking over our MVC!

  3. The motor vehicle agency has turned into immigration. It’s filthy smelly disgusting. Full of bacteria and germs for the past 30 years.

  4. Excellent.
Making the test online will make it easier for illegals to get legitimate identification.
Never let a scamdemic go to waste.

  5. The post above is so very true. That place is one big shit hole. They are all dirty smelly filthy disgusting weirdos walking around. I’m actually scared when I go there. No wonder they have armed security and sometimes police. I think some people go there And they don’t take a shower for about three days because they smell like they shit their pants.
