Ridgewood NJ, an older model, white colored Nissan Sentra with Vermont license plates, seen fleeing the scene of an alleged shoplifting in Mahwah, was stopped by Mahwah Police officers on Route 17 southbound in Ridgewood within 15 minutes of the Saturday morning, 02/17, incident.
The store manager where the alleged shoplifting occurred had followed the Nissan in his personal vehicle and kept Mahwah Police abreast of the vehicle’s exact location while it was on the move. Three (3) individuals in the Sentra were taken into custody after the vehicle was stopped and searched.
Police at the scene reported that an unknown type and amount of illicit drugs was recovered from the vehicle, along with the alleged stolen merchandise. Ridgewood Police officers assisted with both the vehicle search and apprehension.

Good job arresting these scumbags
Glad no one was killed with them racing down 17.
Glad there were no accidents caused by the two cars racing down Rt 17.
Kudos to the store manager and the police. This isn’t NY where you are released right away.
Hope these losers get very long prison sentences!
(and thank you to the police for apprehending people who should not be walking amongst us)
