ATLANTA (CBS Atlanta) — A new study finds that the happiest parents are those who have four or more kids.
According to The Daily Signal, a study conducted by Australia’s Edith Cowan University found parents had the most life satisfaction with larger families.
“[The parents] usually say they always wanted a large family, it was planned that way, and it was a lifestyle they’d chosen,” study author Dr. Bronwyn Harman said, according to The Daily Signal.
Harman spent five years interviewing hundreds of parents from different family makeups and based her findings on resilience, social support, self-esteem and life satisfaction.
“What is important for kids are things like consistency, boundaries and [to] know that they are loved, no matter what,” Harman explained, The Daily Signal reports.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hillary Rodham Clinton is suffering rapid erosion of support among Democratic women — the voters long presumed to be her bedrock in her bid to become the nation’s first female president.
The numbers in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll are an alarm siren: Where 71 percent of Democratic-leaning female voters said in July that they expected to vote for Clinton, only 42 percent do now, a drop of 29 percentage points in eight weeks.
The period since the last survey coincides with the news that the FBI is looking into the security of e-mails sent over a private server Clinton used when she was secretary of state, as well as an intense media focus on her response to the controversy. The episode has raised questions about her judgment and revived memories of the scandals that plagued the presidency of her husband, Bill Clinton, in the 1990s.

President Obama will need to more than double the number of Americans enrolled in Obamacare exchange plans to reach 21 million next year, the target set in budget projections, in what is shaping up as the next major test for the health care law.
As of June, the Department of Health and Human Services counted 9.9 million customers who have bought plans through the federal HealthCare.gov portal and a handful of state-run exchanges.
That puts the administration ahead of it’s own estimates for 2015, but is less than half what the Congressional Budget Office projected for 2016, showing just how much work officials have ahead of them as the next round of enrollment begins in less than two months.

A state appeals court ruling that directs judges in criminal trials to immediately remove jurors who display any racial bias is likely to reverberate through the jury selection process, Bergen and Passaic county judges and lawyers said.
The ruling exhorts New Jersey judges to probe deeper when questioning potential jurors about their views on race, and to treat with more scrutiny attitudes and opinions they previously might have viewed more benignly.
But experts say the task is complicated by the fact that the adversarial legal system encourages prosecutors and defense attorneys to try to fill the panel with jurors sympathetic to their causes — an attempt often based on the prospective jurors’ backgrounds, beliefs or racial identities. The ruling offers no advice for how judges can better detect subconscious prejudice, one Bergen County criminal defense lawyer said.
The strongly worded ruling, issued Aug. 31 by Appellate Division Judge Jose L. Fuentes, reversed the carjacking conviction of two black men in Union County, finding that the trial judge erred by failing to remove a juror who had expressed racial bias.
Fuentes wrote that just as the “hateful practice” of police racial profiling on New Jersey highways has been roundly condemned and outlawed, judges should be uncompromising in preventing people from serving on juries if those people associate criminal behavior with race.

Waldwick NJ, Firefighters from countless Bergen & Passaic County, NJ communities battled a stubborn cooling oil fed fire at a Public Service Electric and Gas electric sub/switching station on Hopper Avenue in Waldwick, NJ.
The fire began shortly after 10:30 AM on Sunday, 09/13. Heavy smoke and visible fire were still present as evening approached. EMS resources from several communities were also summoned to assist with decontamination of personnel.

Aronsohn – he looks like a doe staring at headlights, absolutely no comprehension of what is being said, he is not paying any attention whatsoever, and as soon as the speaker finishes he finally brings his eyes into focus and says Thank You For Your Comments. And he never replies to anyone’s concerns.
Sonenfeld – did you check her out when the TV was focused on her on Wednesday nonstop? Her head bobs up and down when someone is at the microphone, like a chicken pecking around for scattered corn kernels. And she makes little sounds of disapproval or disagreement, while her hand fidgets with her chin.
Hauck – she stares at her ipad when anyone speaks, and reads whatever notes are being sent to her electronically from her “handlers,” who dictate what she should say (read) next.
Pucciarelli – he also stares at his ipad, but he has it on “camera” and the camera is reversed so he is looking at himself and trying to determine if the toupee needs a little more salt-and-pepper highlights woven into it yet.
Only Sedon and Knudsen actually pay attention and give thoughtful responses, even though Aronsohn has instructed all council members that they are not to engage in conversation with any member of the public.
The mayor is such a liar. He acts like the idea of a second meeting is a new idea and he is jumping right on it due to the back to school night conflicts. So much bullshit from our egomaniacal leader. Boyd Loving spoke publicly in the summer and implored Aronsohn to have more than one hearing, stating that of course not everyone could make one certain date. In this instance the mayor stated that people could talk at other meetings during the summer (when it would not be an agenda item and when half the town is away). A woman from N. hillside spoke on Wednesday night and said she was there on the 9th because she has back to school night on the 16th. In this instance the mayor stared blankly at her and made no comment. This high density housing will probably go through even if a thousand people speak up. But those thousand people will never vote for Paulie Boy ever again.
Ridgewood NJ, The Mayor Paul Aronsohn and the Village Council has given in to the public outcry for a Second Meeting to hear public comments on the multi-family housing . On June 24 at a public meeting the Mayor basically told resident Boyd Loving to sit down and shut up when he suggested that more than one public hearing was in order.
Boyd was adamant that one night would make it difficult for some people to attend and that this one-night plan was completely contrary to the manner in which the Valley hearings were conducted. At that time the Mayor was unwilling to listen to this reasonable suggestion.
Perhaps recent events such as the lawsuit brought by the CBR, as well as intense public outcry about the single meeting, and even the Ridgewood News editorial, have caused a change of heart. Boyd it seems, was dare we say it, RIGHT.
Now perhaps you will listen to Boyd’s other suggestion to secure a larger venue for the hearings, so that overflow citizens are not sequestered in the basement of Village Hall and are somehow shuttled up and down stairs to the microphone.
It’s been said before and should keep being said, we all want seniors to be able to stay in town if they would like. Apartments currently exist for that purpose and a few more can and maybe should be built within the current density levels.
But the worst thing that could happen to seniors who would like to stay in their homes would be for hundreds of new apartments to be built. Either families would occupy those apartments OR the homes vacated by seniors moving into apartments. Either way the result is MORE children in school AND HIGHER taxes for services to support those children (school budget is by far the largest % of our tax bills). We NEED to find ways for people without children in school to stay in their homes and increasing the school budget is not the way to do it.
The fly has noticed…………… that according to the Village website a recently crafted grant application with an attached resolution ( neither of which was brought to the full council ) showing that one hundred thousand dollars appears to be coming from village capital funds and not the RBSA. The Village manager stated at the recent council meeting that sports’ groups had funded the matching grant. This appears to be a blatant lie. While not one but two members have recently resigned from the Open Space Committee( one publicly) and it looks like they will start taking down trees at the Schedler property without a fully vetted plan in place on actual costs and the viability of a 90 foot baseball diamond at Schedler. There is so much wrong with the process and now it looks as though some of it might be in violation of the law. The Deputy Mayor was quoted on Wednesday as saying ,: “Maybe we’re breaking the law, but it’s not a good law.” , is there a lawyer in the house ?

Debt ratios have reached extreme levels across all major regions of the global economy, leaving the financial system acutely vulnerable to monetary tightening by the US Federal Reserve, the world’s top financial watchdog has warned.

Germany’s open-door policy to refugees appeared to be unravelling tonight following the country’s reinstatement of border controls to curb the overwhelming influx of migrants.
Europe’s top economy halted all trains from Austria and, in an historic move, temporarily suspended the open borders Schengen agreement in response to the arrival of tens of thousands of Syrian refugees in recent days.

Americans increasingly want and expect adult supervision

In “Microaggression and Moral Cultures,” the UCLA* California State University, Los Angeles sociologist Bradley Campbell and the West Virginia University sociologist Jason Manning identify a “culture of victimhood” that they distinguish from the “honor cultures” and “dignity cultures” of the past. In a victimhood culture, they write, “individuals and groups display high sensitivity to slight, have a tendency to handle conflicts through complaints to third parties, and seek to cultivate an image of being victims who deserve assistance.”
Insightfully complementing their analysis is a new study by the St. Lawrence University economist Steven Horwitz, titled “Cooperation Over Coercion: The Importance of Unsupervised Childhood Play for Democracy and Liberalism.” Horwitz makes the case that overprotective childrearing is undermining the “ability to engage in group problem solving and settle disputes without the intervention of outsiders,” a capacity he calls “a key part of the liberal order.” In other words, both studies find that Americans increasingly want and expect adult supervision.
Campbell and Manning begin by probing the rise of the “microaggression” phenomenon on university campuses. As defined by the Columbia diversity training specialist Derald Wing Sue, microaggressions are “brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, and environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative racial, gender, and sexual orientation, and religious slights and insults to the target person or group.” Microaggressions include asking an Asian American where he or she was born, complimenting a Latino on speaking English well, or asserting that “America is the land of opportunity.” In general, microaggressions are seen as instances of a larger narrative of structural inequalities. “Conduct is offensive because it perpetuates or increases the domination of some persons and groups by others,” Campbell and Manning observe.
The authors argue that people seek the moral status of victim in situations where social stratification is low, cultural diversity is high, and authorities are referees. These three conditions pervade the modern American university, so it not surprising that the microaggression victimhood phenomenon is most intense in academia. Google Trends finds that headlines featuring microaggression started a steep rise in 2012.
In an exclusive find, Truth Revolt has discovered that the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) has hired a George Soros-linked pollster to “conduct a national survey on media and opinion in a difficult research environment of the Latin American market.” They were given a no-bid contract.
This should be bid out but instead it was awarded to Bendixen & Amandi “as the only source that meets the BBG requirement” and the announcement was hidden in an obscure government website.

They have worked extensively for and are closely affiliated with George Soros’ Open Society Institute and Obama for America.
Bendixen & Amandi International also represents the Ford Foundation, which contributed more than $2.5 million to the liberal Center for American Progress between 2009 and 2010.
They have also worked with Hillary Clinton and other Democrats such as Patty Murphy in Washington.
Prior to the last election, President Obama’s re-election campaign manager Jim Messina inadvertently revealed Obama for America hired Sergio Bendixen, who at the time represented an organization founded by left-wing billionaire George Soros
