Hackensack NJ, on Wednesday, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco presented his 2022 budget proposal to the Bergen County Board of Commissioners at their regularly scheduled work session
The 2022 proposed so called “zero budget” holds the line on taxes and comes with no increase on the County portion of resident tax bills in 2022. On a home assessed at $500,000, the proposed budget would actually decrease the Bergen County portion of property taxes by $17.75.”
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, “Today I presented my 2022 budget to the Bergen County Commissioners and I am excited to announce that this year, there will be no County tax increase. This budget not only holds the line, but homes assessed at $500,000 will actually see a $17.75 decrease on the County portion tax bills. Under this proposed budget, Bergen County strives to continue having the second lowest County tax rate in New Jersey while also investing in County infrastructure and increasing funding for education, mental health services, and services to seniors. I would like to thank my incredible fiscal team for their efforts in putting this proposal together which has the back of our taxpayers but also responds to the demands in services expected from our residents.”
Wow! What am I going to do with all of that money? Gives me a good reason to stay in NJ. Not…
Lucky it didn’t go up has usual. Some whiny people complain no matter what.
You know what if I want up 10 bucks 20 bucks, and if it’s for a great reason like repairing roads or security at certain locations it’s worth it.
