Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Library Board member asked resident Steve Kim,
” Did you ever consider that the architect specializes in libraries, our thousands of patrons and library staff that serves the community EVERYDAY should have a pretty good idea what the library might need”
Yuup we sure did and you know Ridgewood has heard that all before.
Ridgewood NJ, yesterday in Ridgewood at the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Hudson Street Parking garage . the event was greeted with a protester .
Which begs the questions where are all the critics of residents Steven Kim and Saurabh Dani , all the “if you don’t like it move” and how dare you question the great and powerful Ridgewood Public Library or Ridgewood Board of Education ?
Where are the big mouths? Where are the know-it-alls? And lets not forget all the “you should pay higher taxes, so I can move out of here” types?
Once again emphasizing the , it is OK to bully certain people for certain ideas but not others .
And of course if you in the in crowd , you have carte blanche even if you come off as an ignorant bigot?
Ridgewood NJ, resident Frank DelVecchio shared the following information:
“It is a few days out from 9/11 and it is time for my annual 9/11 Remembrance Run from Ridgewood to the WTC. I will be running 13 miles and biking 13 miles. Every year people contribute to the Run for Hope Foundation (www.runforhopefoundation.org) and we go on to support great causes. In the last 7 years the foundation has raised and contributed well over a $100k to various causes and organizations. We are a 501c3, so any donation is tax deductible. Please consider donating today, we are falling far short of where we usually are. You can watch the run/bike on the day of event as I will be streaming parts of it on FB live (same as last year). Donate by going to site, not using donate link on FB page. Thanks for your past support and may God bless.”
” While I agree largely with what was written one has to also see that now society has jumped on the bandwagon. If you don’t agree with someone on a specific subject, rather than seeing that person in a good perspective as having other positive traits, now the accepted response is to gather others to destroy them, their business/livelihood, their families or their children – in essence BULLY them into submission and silence. This happens more often than not. People cannot just express their opposing position and move on for the rest of the day…no, they have to harass those people for the remainder of the day, week, year until the person is ruined. Also, call their place of work and scream for their resignation, even picket and carry signs. – Yes, this how society will make YOU and others capitulate to THEIR point of view and demands. Good grief, people, this is society at large. “
“Are you are out of your mind I have a store in the CBD. I pay rent To my landlord. It is not my responsibility to maintain the flower bed, or my landlord, we did not install it we did not want it it’s the town‘s responsibility. End of story. The individual who said that must be the management of some sort. Town‘s responsibility hire people. Or hire a landscaper to maintain it.”

Ridgewood NJ , Many pets are sensitive to loud noises and bright lights, like those in a firework display or a thunderstorm. Because they have more sensitive hearing than us, even a distant firework boom can trigger a “flight or fight” response. If they are outdoors, they will run for miles from the noise at once, even through traffic. They may even break through or dig under fences if necessary since it is quite frightening for them. Once far away from your care, they are most susceptible to being hit by a car or suffering from heatstroke.
Make sure your animals have identification and/or a microchip in case they do run away. When walking your pet, keep a tight grip, as a loud noise may cause them to bolt. Keep them at home during the fireworks because besides scaring them, it is much too painful for their ears. Put your pet in the quietest room of the house and close the blinds so no flashes of light can be seen, which may startle them. To drown out any possible firework crackles and loud noises, you can turn the TV or radio on or play some soothing, classical music. If your pet gets particularly stressed during fireworks or thunderstorms, call to make an appointment to discuss this with one of our veterinarians. There are many things we can do to help, such as offer medication to them.
Whether attending fireworks or not this holiday, it’s a hot time of year, so it is best to keep your pets indoors, in a cool place with plenty of fresh water. If you happen to be traveling to a party, do not leave your pets in the parked car, as it can reach 150 degrees in minutes.
Make this a safe, healthy and happy holiday with your pets. Wish you all a very Happy July 4th from the doctors and staff of Ridgewood Veterinary Hospital!
