Large-scale Carbon Monoxide Buildup at Franklin Lakes Apartment Complex

Franklin Lakes  NJ, Franklin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department responded to a large-scale carbon monoxide incident on March 19th at an under construction apartment complex on Tice Road . On scene were also a mutual aid ladder from Wyckoff Fire Department and Mahwah Fire Department Fan Boat was requested to assist in ventilating the apartment building. Also providing assistance were Mahwah Rescue .

Franklin Lakes NJ, two years after arson destroyed part of the church ,Most Blessed Sacrament Church officials were finally able to share much anticipated news with their community , In a letter dated Dec. 3, Rev. John R. Job announced that the borough had approved final building plans, which allows officials to now begin the process of selecting a builder through a bidding process.

Fire officials Are Still Determining the Cause of an Early Moring Fire in Franklin Lakes

Franklin Lakes NJ, at approximately 12:35am Monday  Franklin Lakes Fire crews were dispatched to a reported working fire on Cheyenne Drive. Chief Bohny arrived on scene to find a 2.5 story wood frame heavily involved in fire and all residents evacuated the home. Engine 334 established a water supply at Dakota and Wichita and laid approximately 1000 feet of supply line. Ladder 342, Squad 332, Engine 335 and Rescue 3 arrived on scene shortly after and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. The fire was placed under control by 2:30am. Franklin Lakes Firefighters Free a Trapped Driver after a Rollover Crash on Summit Avenue

Franklin Lakes NJ, Franklin Lakes firefighters freed a trapped driver after a rollover crash. According to reports at 8:55pm crews were dispatched to a reported rollover with entrapment on Summit Avenue at Lynn Drive. Chief 330 and 340 and Franklin Lakes Police arrived on scene just minutes after dispatch to find an SUV on its side with 1 occupant trapped inside the drivers seat. Rescue 3, Squad 3 and Engine 334 quickly arrived on scene and stabilized the vehicle using Res-Q-Jack struts and began removing the roof. The victim was turned over to Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps and ALS for transport to a local hospital.

FDA Sends Warning on False Positive COVID Test Results

Franklin Lakes NJ, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the following actions taken in its ongoing response effort to the COVID-19 pandemic.  A Letter to Clinical Laboratory Staff and Health Care Providers alerting them of an increased risk of a false positive result with BD SARS-CoV-2 Reagents for the BD Max System test.

In one study, the manufacturer found approximately three percent (3%) of results were false positive results. The FDA is working with Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) to resolve this issue and will continue to keep clinical laboratory staff, health care providers, manufacturers, and the public informed for new or additional information.
