Ho-Ho-Kus Nj, late Wednesday afternoon on November 12, 2025, the southbound lanes of Route 17 in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, became the scene of a significant two-vehicle chain reaction crash. The accident, which occurred directly underneath the Hollywood Avenue overpass, severely impacted the evening rush hour commute.

The collision resulted in the injury of one individual and forced the closure of two crucial travel lanes (the left and center), causing southbound traffic to back up for miles across Bergen County.

On Thursday evening, 10/30/2025, a rental vehicle driver in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, followed their GPS directions so precisely that they ended up driving directly onto the active NJ Transit railroad tracks near the Hollywood Avenue rail crossing.
