The Ridgewood Blog Endorse Frank Pallotta for Congress in New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District

Dear Students and Colleagues:
I write today to advise that after considerable internal planning and review of state, local, and federal guidance and data, the Fall 2020 semester at Ramapo College will feature a combination of limited in-person and remotely delivered instruction as well as modified levels of on-campus activity, residency, and programming.
The Ramapo College Restart Plan (hereafter “the Plan”) has been meticulously developed by a Task Force, numerous subcommittees, and a group of resource personnel. In sum, 48 members of the College, inclusive of faculty, staff, and managers, participated in its development. We have outlined our return to campus with a phased approach, which is aligned with the three-stage approach communicated by the State of New Jersey.

MAHWAH NJ, Last Thursday, Republican Candidate for Congress Frank Pallotta, formally kicked-off his campaign for Congress to a robust crowd of over 100 supporters in the candidate’s hometown of Mahwah, NJ. The event took place on the anniversary of President Ronald Reagan’s birthday – the candidate’s political hero.
In his speech, Pallotta slammed incumbent Josh Gottheimer’s vote for the sham impeachment process against President Trump and for failing to deliver for the people of New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District:
“Josh has dubbed himself the leader of the “Problem Solvers’ Caucus”. But after three years in Washington, I have a question for the Congressman: How can you claim to be part of the solution, when you are part of the problem?” said Pallotta.

Mahawah NJ, At 4:40am on Christmas morning Mahwah Police were called about a fire at Arzee building supply on Franklin Tpk. All 5 Mahwah fire companies were dispatched and responded. First arriving chief officers saw a large amount of fire at the back of the building that stretches nearly a full city block.
The fire eventually went to 5 alarms and brought in 25+ mutual aid departments from Bergen, Rockland, and Passaic counties. Crews remained on scene for more than 12 hours trying to gain access to areas which collapsed but were still on fire, but ultimately we had to wait for heavy equipment to arrive to uncover the pockets of fire that were still burning. Reports from the Mahwah Water Dept flow meters show that nearly 800,000gal of water were used to bring this fire under control and prevent any damage to exposures.
We want to thank all the responding mutual aid departments and agencies for taking time away from their families on Christmas morning to help battle the intense fire. Huge thank you to @novinonj Italian Restaurant, they were closed for Christmas Day but opened their doors and fired up the ovens to cook pizzas for all the personnel involved in extinguishing the blaze. Thank you to Dunkin Donuts and Stryker for your donations as well.
