Greenwood Avenue Bridge in Midland Park is Now Open!

Midland Park NJ, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco one  of the latest road improvements in Bergen County is the replacement of the Greenwood Avenue Bridge in Midland Park! After almost a year of renovations, the bridge over Goffle Brook is now open to traffic. Tedesco  said ,”A very big thank you to the County Roads Division and the amazing crews for their continued dedication to these projects. More improvements to come!”

Historic David Baldwin House in Midland Park Slated for Demolition

Midland Park NJ, it appears that the David Baldwin House located at 60 Lake Avenue, Midland Park, is slated for demolition . The house was built in 1838. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 10, 1983. David Baldwin was an engineer and inventor who patented various machines from the 1830s to 1870s.

The County of Bergen has Established Four Emergency Cooling Centers throughout the County

Midland Park NJ, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco , “Due to the current heat wave, The County of Bergen has established four emergency cooling centers throughout the County to ensure that our residents stay safe and cool! Additionally, several municipalities have designated local public areas as cooling centers. Residents should consider visiting municipal centers before traveling to County centers. The centers will be open between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Residents who require a ride to a County cooling center should call 201-368-5955 x1 between 6:30am and 3:00pm.”

Midland Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JONATHAN BARRIOS (DOB: 6/30/1996; single; licensed social worker) of Saddle Brook, NJ on charges of sexual assault by sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Midland Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Powderley.

Midland Park NJ, at least one (1) person was hospitalized following an early Wednesday morning, 10/26, crash in which a passenger vehicle slammed into a building after downing a utility pole near the Midland Park Post Office on Godwin Avenue, Midland Park. There appeared to have been moderate damage to a front facing corner of the struck building. The passenger vehicle was totaled; it was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Midland Park Police and Midland Park Fire Department responded to the incident. Ridgewood Police assisted with traffic control.

A young resident of Prospect St. was flying there drone high above the streets listed when the drone lost connection and dropped towards the ground. If you locate the drone in your yard please give us a call 201-444-2300. We would like to help this young resident locate their property.
