Trout Season is Open

Ridgewood NJ, Trout season is open and most waters have received their full allotment of trout. All regulations remain in effect except there will be NO IN-SEASON CLOSURES on the 14 major streams where they normally would be in effect. State Wildlife Management Areas remain open except for the Round Valley Reservoir boat ramp. Help keep WMAs and other areas open by observing proper social distancing!

He was theformer lead singer of the late 60s NJ Soul group “Epitome of Sound” whose single “You Don’t Love Me” holds the distinction of being one of the top 10 Northern Soul records of all time.

RIDGEWOOD NJ ,Ridgewood Public Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 21st year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. To qualify for the Best Communities designation, Ridgewood Public Schools answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities and support for the music programs.

President Trump announces US will halt funding to World Health Organization

Ridgewood High School Gym Floor Remediation

Ridgewood NJ, at Mondays Ridgewood Board of Education meeting Dr. Fishbein explained that, when news came out about concerns regarding rubberized gym floors, the district had our rubberized gym floor at the high school tested. Although the test results indicated that the mercury levels were below the level of concern, the district is moving forward with remediation and replacement of the floor. LAN will prepare the bid specs and the architecture for the replacement of the gym floor. The environmental group is developing the bid specs for the remediation. If we remain closed for the rest of the school year, we may begin work on this project sooner.

Governors Establish Multi-State COVID 19 Council to Get People Back to Work and Restore the Economy

Trenton NJ, Recognizing that their states have one integrated regional economy, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, Delaware Governor John Carney and Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo today announced Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is joining the multi-state council to restore the economy and get people back to work. It is Time to Discuss a Regional Plan for Reopening the Economy

TRENTON NJ,  Governors in a handful of Northeastern States held a conference call to discuss a regional plan for reopening the economy when it’s time to lift some restrictions on the public and businesses. NFIB believes it is important to have those discussions now because a huge number of small businesses are in a financial crisis of immense proportions.  While the business owners do want their employees and customers to be safe, a recent survey by NFIB showed most of these companies’ cash reserves could run out in one to two months making reopening not an option.

Ridgewood NJ, In a letter sent Monday, Republican U.S. Senate and former United States Food and Drug official Dr. Rik Mehta, along with former Assistant Secretary of Health and retired 4-star Admiral Dr. Joxel Garcia, applauded the work of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Stephen Hahn, MD, and admonished a dangerous and irresponsible letter issued by Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez and Rep. Bill Pascrell in which they decried FDA for fast-tracking the review process for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) while calling on Commissioner Hahn to halt the use of these potential treatment options for COVID-19 patients.
