Marlton NJ, Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced that a registered sex offender from Burlington County was sentenced to state prison today after he used social media apps to send photos of his genitals and a video of himself masturbating to underage girls and an undercover detective posing as a 13-year-old girl.

Trenton NJ, on Tuesday, the New Jersey Supreme Court ordered ex-Black Panther Sundiata Acoli (formerly Clark Edward Squire) released on parole. Acoli was serving a sentence for the slaying of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster nearly fifty years ago (1973). His accomplice – Joanne Chesimard – remains at large in Cuba.

South Jersey Bus Drivers Hit Union with Federal Lawsuit Challenging Unconstitutional Union Dues

US Justice Department Announces Nationwide Action to Combat Health Care-Related COVID-19 Fraud

NEWARK NJ,the US Department of Justice announced criminal charges against 21 defendants in nine federal districts across the United States for their alleged participation in various health care related fraud schemes that exploited the COVID-19 pandemic. These cases allegedly resulted in over $149 million in COVID-19-related false billings to federal programs and theft from federally-funded pandemic assistance programs. In connection with the enforcement action, the department seized over $8 million in cash and other fraud proceeds.

Elizabeth NJ,  Governor Phil Murphy marked the historic opening day of adult-use recreational cannabis sales in New Jersey at Zen Leaf in Elizabeth one of several facilities across the state now selling cannabis to adults 21 years and older. The commencement of the adult-use recreational cannabis market represents another step forward in “New Jersey’s ongoing efforts to create a new cannabis industry that continues to prioritize medical marijuana patients and advance social justice initiatives”.

In a statement Bracken claimed  that last Wednesday and Thursday, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce held a very successful “ReNew Jersey Business Summit and Expo” in Atlantic City. Some news coverage of the Summit included a comment made by me, in regard to the plight of the business community, that suggested the governor and Legislature “are not doing anything about it of substance.” Braken owned it then proceeded to back peddle and play CYA .
